Shank Bits / Lifter Bits

Shank bits, also known as lifter bits, come in a full range of sizes from our short-shank SC-3 to the longer-shank SC-75.

These bits are designed to give you more lift, response and control without having to constantly lug or pull on an O-ring.

Shorter shanks give you a little extra edge and quicker response while still keeping a lighter feel.

Longer shanks provide more leverage, lift and collection for horses that need help backing off the bit and respecting your hands.

All Shallow Creek Bits are handmade by Boyce in our Tennessee shop using stainless steel, and all mouthpieces are available in any of our bit styles.
